A NEWLY opened gallery's inaugural exhibition will explore the impact of digital media on people's experience of the physical world.
Bridging The Gap at Hatch Space in Creekside, Deptford, features ceramics, photography and sculpture, all pondering the implications of our favouring of digital representations of the world over direct experience.
Rachel Price, curator of the gallery which opened last month, said: "Bridging the Gap refers to our attempts to reconcile the increasing gulf between our physical environment and the digital world that represents it.
"A tension exists between the two and there seems to be a current trend among artists addressing the issue of technological advances and the impact it is having on human experience."
