A singalong to raise funds for the Bromley branch of the National Childbirth Trust (NCT) has raised £500.

The event, which took place at the United Reformed Church (URC) in Bromley, involved 50 children singing 50 songs including favourites such as If You're Happy and You Know It and The Hokey Cokey.

Caterpillar Music and PipSqueaks donated their time and instruments to help the singalong go with a bang, crash and whistle!

Following the sing-along, Clair Collins, fundraising co-ordinator for the Bromley branch of the NCT, said rather hoarsely: "As this is the 50th birthday of the NCT we thought it would be a great idea to attempt to get 50 children to sing 50 songs.

"The sponsorship money will be used for a wide range of activities which are open to NCT members and non-members alike."

The singalong took place in conjunction with Bumps, Babies and Little Bees, the Bromley NCT's playgroup, which takes place each Tuesday from 10am to 12noon at the URC, 48 weeks of the year including during the school summer holidays.
