A SEPTUAGENARIAN who volunteers for several charities has been nominated for Bromley's Best Volunteer.
Joy Hall, of Elmers End Road, Anerley, has been put forward by Shirley Homewood who she works with at the Older People's Network in Penge and Anerley.
She said: "She gives her time unstintingly. She does not care how menial a task or how complicated it is."
Mrs Homewood, of Victor Road, Penge, joked: "I nominated her for an MBE so she's getting her own back."
As well as helping out Age Concern and CAB, she has been a driver for Contact the Elderly for 18 years.
