TWO people are to stand trial in relation to a hammer attack.
At the Old Bailey on August 4, Christopher Hicks, aged 39, of Starts Hill Avenue, Farnborough, pleaded not guilty to the attempted murder of David Morgan.
Mr Morgan, 44, was struck with a hammer and stabbed several times in an attack on March 1.
John Gibb, aged 31, denied a charge of perverting the course of justice.
The charge relates to Gibb, of Church Fields Road, Beckenham, allegedly claiming responsibility for the attack and saying no-one else was involved.
Eileen Fraser, aged 45, is charged with perverting the course of justice and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
She is accused of washing a hammer she knew was used in the attack and helping dispose of the weapon and clothing worn by the assailants.
Fraser, of Alegh House, Church Fields Road, Beckenham, has not yet entered a plea as she is in hospital following an operation.
She is due to appear at the Old Bailey on October 13.
A third man, Shane Campbell, aged 40, of Alegh House, Church Fields Road, Beckenham, was also facing charges of attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent but apparently committed suicide while in prison.
Hicks was remanded in custody and Gibb was granted bail.
A trial has been set for January 8 next year.
