HUNDREDS of gnomes are being well cared for in a former window maker's garden.
Albert Rosewell, of Detling Road, Downham, repaints his collection every summer and winter to make sure they always look their best.
He has been collecting them for more than 45 years and now has about 300.
The 82-year-old does not have a favourite but says the most unusual is a blonde one he calls Mary.
Mr Rosewell said: "Someone bought me one and then that was it, I started off from there."
The grandfather-of-16 added: "People call me the gnome man."
