POLICE say it will be a fortnight before they confirm the identity of two adults and two children killed in Tuesday's horror crash on the M25.

The four, believed to be a family from south London, were killed when their Volkswagen car collided with a heavy goods vehicle before junction five on the way to the Dartford Crossing.

The lorry driver, a 54-year-old man from Surrey, was arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and released on police bail the following day.

Anyone with information about the accident, which happened at 10.35am, is asked to call the serious collision witness line on 01622 798538.
