ONE of Greenwich borough's best parks has been recognised for the fourth time. Well Hall Pleasaunce, Well Hall Road, Eltham, is one of 400 green spaces across the capital to be given the prestigious Green Flag Award.
The Green Flag scheme has been running since 1996 and is the national standard for parks and green spaces in England and Wales.
The Pleasaunce contains 16th-century Grade II Listed features including a walled garden with herbaceous borders and a central fountain.
Cabinet member for environment and community safety Councillor Maureen O'Mara said: "It's wonderful to receive green awards because it shows how much Greenwich cares for its environment."
