A KIDNEY dialysis unit has opened near to a high street.
King's @ Bromley, Ringers Road, Bromley, is part of King's College Hospital's plan to provide dialysis services closer to where people live.
The centre was offically opened by Bromley and Chislehurst MP Bob Neill yesterday.
It is expected to serve 64 patients a year from the Bromley area and means they no longer have to travel to the hospital in Denmark Hill, Lambeth.
A King's College Hospital spokesman said: "Opening a centre designed to cater for their needs on their doorstep, we will be providing patients with a more convenient service."
