STAMMERING adults can get support from a self-help group which launches next month.
The group is being set up by Bromley Primary Care Trust's (PCT) speech and language therapy service to give people an opportunity to meet others who have a stammer.
It is hoped those who get involved will feel less isolated, learn new ways of coping and improve their confidence.
A Bromley PCT spokesman said: "Research into stammering shows meeting at a self-help group and sharing similar experiences in life with others can lead to major changes in people's lives."
The group's first meeting will be from 7pm to 9pm on September 25 in the Harry Lyne meeting room at Beckenham Hospital, Croydon Road.
