A GROUP of boys has raised more than £110 for charity by cashing in on their leader's cooking skills.
Hassina Carroll, a lecturer at Lewisham College, runs the 1st Baldwyns Park Beaver Colony which meets every Wednesday from 6pm to 7.15pm in the Eden Road Scout hut in Bexley.
When the boys were asked if they would like to take a stall at the fete of nearby Maypole Primary School, Dykewood Close, they decided to raise some money for Greenwich and Bexley Cottage Hospice.
They opted to sell curry, rice and samosas on the stall, all home cooked by Miss Carroll.
And the spicy treats sold out within two hours.
Hospice fundraising manager Howard King visited the Beavers to collect the money.
