Biggin Hill airport has introduced increased security measures as part on today's ongoing terror alert.
Major UK airports including Heathrow and Gatwick are experiencing major delays following terror raids earlier today.
At present, 21 people have been arrested - the majority of them in London - in connection with a terror plot to blow up trans-Atlantic aircraft.
The UK terror threat level has been increased to critical' - the highest level.
Biggin Hill airport, in Main Road, Biggin Hill, has announced it is complying with extra security measures, set out by the Department of Transport for all UK airports.
The procedures included additional screening and passengers are not allowed to take any hand luggage on all flights leaving the UK.
Only essentials such as passports, wallets and medicines are allowed to be carried on board using transparent plastic bags.
An airport spokesman said: "We are fully operational and we are adhering to all additional requirements."
