A TRIAL date has been set for three men accused of murdering private detective Daniel Morgan in 1987.
William Rees, 56, of Weybridge in Surrey, Glenn Vian, 52, of south Croydon, and Garry Vian, 50, of no fixed address, will stand trial at the Old Bailey on January 31.
Mr Morgan was found with an axe in his head in the car park of the Golden Lion pub in Sydenham Road, Sydenham, on March 10, 1987.
Rees was business partners with Mr Morgan in private detective firm Southern Investigations, which was based in Thornton Heath.
Another suspect, 55-year-old James Cook, from Tadworth, was cleared of the murder by a judge at the Old Bailey on November 18.
