RAIL passengers were forced to sleep onboard trains overnight after icy conditions caused the trains to become stuck.
The people on the three trains: one near Orpington, one near Sevenoaks and one between the two stations, set up makeshift camps in the carriages after dark last night (December 1).
They then bedded down for the night before coaches arrived to take them to their destinations at around 5.30am.
Fifty people refused to get off the train at Orpington Station and waited until the service resumed this morning.
Train company Southeastern worked with Kent County Council overnight and set up a centre for passengers at the Angel Centre in Tonbridge where teas and coffee were served.
