A NEW online service will be launched on August 15 which enables disabled people to check the accessibility of more than 1,000 venues across the borough.
The guide outlines the access on offer at businesses and facilities including pubs, restaurants and hotels for Lewisham's 40,000 disabled people.
Accessibility details were drawn up following an extensive survey of venues across the borough compiled by Lewisham Council in conjunction with Marks & Spencer and DisabledGo.
DisabledGo, a website for disabled people, receives over 33,000 hits a day and gives information about accessibility of venues across the UK.
