FIVE students won awards for exhibiting an impressive array of gardening talents.
The Greenwich University graduates displayed their miniature gardens at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show in south-west London.
Vaughan Aston received a silver-gilt flora award, Fern Alder and Heidi Harvey were awarded a silver flora while Michelle Wake and Fran Foster won a bronze flora award.
The annual garden festival saw 700 competitors vying to win the approval of judges from the Royal Horticultural Society.
The five graduates had taken degrees in garden design and landscape architecture.
Lecturer Tom Turner from the School of Architecture and Construction said: "I am delighted to see our graduates doing so well and coming forward with the things most lacking in current garden design.
"These are an enthusiasm for ideas drawn from the world of art and a deep understanding of the importance of plant ecology."
