A UNIVERSITY has unveiled its brand new building.
Goldsmiths University’s Department of Media and Communications was previously scattered across the New Cross campus but has now moved to the building in College Green.
Construction of the £16m building took 18 months.
Along with study areas, it features a large lecture theatre, meeting spaces and a cafe with outside seating.
The university also claims the building is environmentally friendly, being powered by a biomass boiler and constructed using recycled material.
Warden Pat Loughrey said: “It is fantastic that the staff and students who will use the building now have a state-of-the-art environment to practice their academia and research.”
