WEST KINGSDOWN: 30 firefighters called to derelict building fire
A BLAZE tore through a derelict building in West Kingsdown overnight.
Six fire crews from the surrounding area were called to the three storey property in School Lane at around 7.45pm yesterday.
The roof of the premises, which is said to be called the Retreat House, fell in during the night but no-one was injured.
After fighting the fire for around four hours, the incident was scaled back and crews started to leave the scene.
Two fire crews remain at the building and are expected to be there for several hours.
