A CHARITY trustee has completed his eighth monthly swim around Britain’s coastline to raise money for a disabled dance company.
Russell Cartwright, aged 34, is swimming for 30 minutes from a different point off the country’s coast each month to reach a fundraising target of £2,540 for Bromley-based Magpie Dance.
The cash will pay for two members of Magpie’s youth group for one year.
He has so far raised £2,194.
Mr Cartwright, who is head of communications at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, did his latest swim at Camber Sands in Sussex.
He said: “It was wonderful to have such great support for the eighth of my twelve swims, and especially good to be joined by members of Magpie's Youth Group who I am raising money for.”
