GIANT water rockets, elephant-sized toothpaste and liquid nitrogen ice cream were just some of the sights witnessed by high street shoppers when a science roadshow came to town.
A crew of daredevil scientists from The Big Bang: UK Young Scientists and Engineers Fair descended on Market Square in Bromley to take part in a series of show-stopping experiments to demonstrate how fun science and technology can be.
Their street science roadshow What’s the Matter? saw youngsters wowed by a variety of activities ranging from extracting iron from cornflakes to huge bubbles.
Scientist James Frecknall said: “There is so much more to science and engineering than meets the eye, and we may have even inspired the talent of the future here in Bromley.”
