THE number of youngsters taking part in a mammoth space-themed card game was out of this world, organisers say.
More than 400 children in 11 Greenwich libraries took part in games of Munglers Trumps - which feature monster characters by children’s author Guy Bass.
Other games were held simultaneously across seven London boroughs.
Collectible Munglers cards have been on offer at libraries as part of their Summer Reading Challenge, with five cards being given out for each book a child reads.
Greenwich Council’s cabinet member for culture and the Olympics Councillor John Fahy said: “This year's Summer Reading Challenge ‘Space Hop’ has proved yet again to be popular among the under-12s.”
