UP-TO-date information on the progress of a £10.9m project for Lower Belvedere is now up and running on a new website.
The Belvedere Green Links project, funded through the Homes and Communities Agency, European Regional Development Fund and London Development Agency, is set to transform the Belvedere area.
It will provide a link road to improve connections in the industrial sites and the surrounding residential areas and unlock access to valuable open space.
It will also provide improved links to Belvedere and Abbey Wood railway stations and between local parks, sustainable drainage systems, improvements to the dyke network, footpaths and cycle paths, new signage, lighting and street furniture.
There will also be a major piece of public art, a five metre high steel gipsy cob horse, created from thousands of steel bars, which will stand on the roundabout between Picardy Manorway and Bronze Age Way.
To find out about the project go to bexley.gov.uk and follow the links.
