Keith McMahon has pulled off argubaly his most notable signing of the Summer having secured the services of former full time professional Ben Lewis from Ryman League South side Croydon Athletic.
The 33 year old defender first came to prominance with Heybridge Swifts Youth team. He then had spells as a full time pro with both Colchester United 1995-96 and Southend United 1997-98 making 16 Football League appeareances before knee problems ended his professional career.
Following this, he rejoined Heybridge and has since played for Grays Athletic, Ford United, Chelmsford City, Welling United, Bishop's Stortford and Maidstone United and Margate.
Lewis scored for Mead Reserves in last Saturday's Kent League Division One match against Whitstable and was an unused substitute in Tuesday night's Ryman League North game with Brentwood Town.
