A NORTH Kent man has been jailed for his part in a gang which commissioned the theft of dozens of vehicles.
Freddie Webb, aged 25, of Swanley Lane, Swanley, was sentenced to two years and ten months in prison at Croydon Crown Court after pleading guilty to conspiracy to steal.
The court heard the 10-strong gang commissioned the theft of at least 50 cars, including Aston Martins, by organising house break-ins to steal keys while the owners slept.
They removed the identification numbers from the stolen cars and replaced the number plates with stolen ones from almost identical vehicles, before selling them on, the court heard.
All ten members of the gang were sentenced at Croydon Crown Court on August 17.
