Summer is over for another year, so it’s time to say farewell to those long summer nights and hello to cosy nights in and snug winter warmers.
Before the winter blues set in, why not give yourself a complete seasonal makeover with a fabulous new hair colour?
Jed Hamill from Graham Webb International is here to forecast the coolest colour trends of the season to help you decide on your brand new shade.
Beautiful blondes
When it comes to blonde this season think pearlescent and natural.
Sunkissed blondes are made more sultry by weaving in light brown shades, this will give your colour a gorgeous glow and beautiful shine.
Always remember to keep your blonde salon fresh by using a silver shampoo at least once a week. A great one that we just love is Clynol Care color + care reflex silver shampoo (£8.45 300ml).
What this will do is neutralise any environmental oxidants that can cause your blonde to become brassy, keeping it salon bright even weeks after your visit.
Cool caramels
Not brave enough to go completely blonde? Take a leaf out of Jennifer Aniston’s book and opt for a caramel shade with a few blonde lights through the top.
Caramel continues to be a hit with celebs and is the subtle alternative to light up your locks this autumn.
Ruby reds
Red is still huge this season! It’s firey, it’s bright and it will get you noticed.
Look to the talented and stylish Florence Welch and Paloma Faith for inspiration and opt for this season's eye-catching cherry red.
Fancy mixing it up? Why not weave some copper lowlights into the mix too, this will give a textured and thicker look to the hair and make your colour more three dimensional.
Cheery chestnuts
Brunettes need not fade into the background this season as beautiful warm chestnut shades bang on trend to give your hair the dazzling gleam of a Hollywood starlet.
Celebs like Fearne Cotton and Miley Cyrus are sporting this gorgeously glossy brunette shade.
When it comes to coloured hair always keep your colour fresh by using a treatment at least once a week that is made especially for coloured hair to keep your hair and shade in tip-top condition.
Try color + care enhance leave-in colour treatment (£9.65 150ml) from Clynol’s Care range for a quick and easy fix for your colour.
Perfect pastels
Want to make a statement with your hair this season? Why not add in a few pastel tones to your hair? Ellie Goulding and Sarah Harding are already rocking this look.
Even if you aren’t quite feeling courageous enough to have pink or blue dyed into your hair then you can opt for a flash of colour by using hair pieces and extensions.
Clip-in extensions are fab for this, as you can experiment as much as you like without going for a dye job.
Elegant ebony
Forever a classic, starlet style ebony locks are coming to a high street near you this autumn.
Beware, this look needs to be handled with caution.
Although celebs like Katie Melua and Dita Von Tease can carry this look off to perfection, black hair does not work for everybody.
Pale complexions and dark eyes suit this look, but if you think that ebony locks may wash you out then avoid the Morticia Addams look by choosing a chocolate shade as opposed to a black.
Smoulderingly sexy is the look that you are aiming for, not the living dead.
With the launch of Clynol Viton Speed 10, salon colour is no longer a chore! At GWI you can now have your cut and colour appointment in your lunch hour with this revolutionary 10-minute permanent hair colour.
