STAFF from a Marks and Spencer store are spending 100 days raising money for charity.
The store in Powis Street, Woolwich, chose Greenwich Starting Blocks Trust as its annual charity challenge.
General merchandise manager Jackie Haddock said: “Last year we raised money for Demelza and this year we decided to go for Greenwich Starting Blocks as we’re now only two years away from the Olympics coming to London and to Greenwich”.
The charity helps young people's sporting dreams come true by providing bursaries to give them a chance to develop their talents.
Staff are raising money by holding a quiz night, bucketshaking days, a cake sale and are paying £1.50 to wear sports and leisure wear to work on Saturdays.
