Lewisham East MP, Heidi Alexander, is raising money for One World Action
AN MP will be taking part in a charity run to raise awareness of women’s rights around the world.
Lewisham East MP, Heidi Alexander, is competing in the Adidas Women’s 5K Challenge in Hyde Park on September 5.
She will be running for the One World Action charity to help raise money for the More Women More Power campaign.
Ms Alexander said: “Women’s rights are crucial to building democratic and vibrant communities and societies.
“Yet there are many places in the world, the UK included, where women continue to suffer from violence, discrimination and exclusion.”
