A MUSEUM will mark the sacrifices made by people in the Second World War at a living history event.
Firepower, The Royal Artillery Museum at Woolwich Arsenal will host the day on September 11.
Called Fighting on the Home Front, it promises visitors a unique insight into the daily life of the people who remained at home while the war raged.
The museum's team will be representing soldiers recently returned from Dunkirk, a warden, local defence volunteers and Home Guard members.
There will also be the chance to view archive footage and meet real evacuees who will tell their stories.
Tickets cost £5 for adults or £2.50 for children.
