VOLUNTEERS are being invited to sign up to greet people to the area during the Olympics.
Greenwich Council is looking for residents who are passionate about Greenwich and who want to share their knowledge and enthusiasm with visitors to the area.
Greeters will need to lead a tour of Eltham or Woolwich and share personal stories and favourite locations.
They will also be required to know stories about the area’s heritage and history.
Cabinet member for olympics and culture, Councillor John Fahy, said: “This project provides an exciting opportunity for people to learn new skills and get more involved with all that will be happening in Greenwich in the lead up to, and during, Games Time.”
