DARTFORD: Robber jailed after targeting 90-year-old woman
A ROBBER who targeted a 90-year-old woman who had just withdrawn cash from a bank machine has been jailed.
Jaysinge Sivaganesh, aged 28, of Essex Road, Dartford, was sentenced to 16 months in prison at Maidstone Crown Court after pleading guilty to robbery.
The court heard he watched his victim as she withdrew money from a cashpoint in Hythe Street, Dartford, on May 1 and then snatched her bag, causing her to fall to the ground.
The woman, who was on holiday from Australia, suffered minor injuries.
