A SWIMMING pool will be closed for four days while work is carried out at a centre hit by fire.
The Eltham Centre’s viewing gallery will be cleared of more than five tons of scaffolding which has been in place since an electrical fire led to the its closure in February.
Scaffolding removal will require the family pool and main swimming pool to close from next Tuesday until September 4.
Further repairs are required before the centre can fully open again in the autumn.
A council spokesman said the cost of repairs was “a matter between the council's insurers and the contractors who have carried out the repair work”.
