IT is the nearest thing in Bexley to a horse racing meeting and it raises cash for good causes.
Welling Round Table’s annual donkey derby takes place on Sunday (29th) at St Mary’s recreation ground in Bourne Road, Bexley.
The event includes seven races on donkeys ridden by young riders from nearby Mount Mascal Stables, with the chance to bet on an outcome of each race at the tote.
As well as the races there will be charity stalls, sideshows, children’s rides and a beer tent.
All the profits from the derby will be given to good causes.
The event runs from noon with the first race at 2pm with the last race at 4pm.
Admission is £1 for adults and 50p for children and there is limited parking available for £2.
