TWO men have today been sentenced to more than 14 years in prison after pleading guilty to drugs offences.

Unemployed Richard Shelton, aged 28, of Green Lane, Chislehurst, was sentenced to eight years for conspiring to supply cocaine.

Grant Culwick, 27, an electrician of no fixed address, was sentenced to six-and-a-half years for conspiring to supply cocaine.

Both were also each given 18-month sentences for conspiring to supply amphetamine and 12-month sentences for conspiring to supply cannabis.

All sentences, which were handed down at Inner London Crown Court, are to run concurrently after the pair pleaded guilty to all charges.

Police searches of Shelton's home and another house in Mottingham Road, Bexley, found a range of drugs and drugs paraphernalia including a block of compressed herbal cannabis and a plastic bag containing a quantity of white powder.

Substantial sums of cash were also uncovered.

Despite Shelton being unemployed, officers described his home as "palatial" with highly expensive fixtures and fittings and high-end electrical equipment.
