A MOTORIST has been jailed for two years after causing a teenager's death by careless driving in Wales.
Brian Johnson, of Elstree Gardens, Belvedere, admitted the charge and was sentenced at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court.
The 45-year-old was also banned from driving for three years.
Louise Ferreira, aged 17, of Malthus Path, Thamesmead, was in a 4x4 vehicle when it rolled over and plunged into a river during floods in September 2008.
She was rushed to a hospital in Aberystwyth but died shortly afterwards.
Miss Ferreira was with friends on holiday and the group were celebrating their GCSE results.
The vehicle veered off a flooded forestry track near the Llyn Brianne reservoir in Powys.
