A WOMAN now living in Cyprus is hoping to organise a reunion for members of a club she ran for more than 20 years.
Marion Banks launched the club in Bexleyheath in 1972 as part of a nationwide network pioneered by the magazine Family Circle.
However, two years later the magazine decided to sever its links with the clubs, who were given the choice of closing down or going independent.
The 100 Bexleyheath members chose independence and the Bexleyheath Club 74 was born.
The club ran until 1993 when Mrs Banks retired to Cyprus.
She has kept in touch with a number of former members and is hoping to reorganise a reunion on her next visit to the UK .
Interested former members can email her at mikeandmarion@cytanet.com.cy call 0035726951867 or write to PO Box 62040, Paphos, 8060, Cyprus, before October 31.
