A POPULAR night bus is to increase its service from the end of the month.
The N89 bus follows the same basic route as the daytime 89 service which runs from Lewisham to Slade Green.
At night, its route is extended to run from Trafalgar Square to Erith and, up until now, it has been a 30-minute service.
But from Saturday (28th) the N89 will be running every 20 minutes from midnight to 6am.
Erith and Thamesmead MP Teresa Pearce whose constituents will benefit from the improved service, said: “I hope the Mayor of London will also be considering the real need for night bus services to Belvedere.”
And she reminded Mayor Boris Johnson of Transport for London’s commitment to Bexley Council to improve bus services throughout Erith, Belvedere, Abbey Wood and Thamesmead.
