A CAMPAIGN to encourage people to tidy up in their front gardens is being launched by Bexley Council.
The Neater Neighbourhoods campaign aims to inspire borough residents to take pride in their neighbourhood and help less able neighbours to keep their gardens neat.
Some gardens may just be overgrown, while others may have building rubble or bulky items stored there.
The campaign will target areas where there are known to be problems, with council officers visiting each home and delivering a leaflet on the campaign with information on how to get help.
People with untidy gardens will receive a letter explaining why their property has been highlighted together with information on what needs to be done.
But Bexley has also warned it will take enforcement action against those residents who refuse to tidy up.
