PEOPLE are being invited to visit a hospital’s new medical unit.
The assessment medical unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, opened in June and is designed to provide rapid diagnostic tests and treatment to patients coming into the hospital via accident and emergency.
Patients are seen by a consultant shortly after arriving on the ward and tests are ordered immediately from other departments on site.
A spokesman for South London Healthcare Trust, which runs the hospital, said: “The unit has only been open for a couple of months and so far the response from the public has been really positive.”
People who would like to visit the unit should email contact slh.communications@nhs.net or call 020 8302 2678.
