ERITH library has been ringing to the sound of some interesting homemade music.
The creative arts charity Create has been working with a group of disabled children on its Junk Rock project.
With help from adults and professional musicians, the children created their own musical instruments from reclaimed materials, such as plastic bottles.
They then tested the different sounds they could make, before setting to work decorating what they had made.
After lunch they created some original musical pieces using their new instruments and played it to family and friends and library visitors.
The children were presented with certificates to mark their achievements and were able to keep their new instruments.
