CHILDREN in north Kent can get their hands on a free kit to help them spot wildlife.
Kent County Council (KCC) is offering the Spotting Pack to all youngsters in the county, to teach them the importance of wildlife and caring for the environment.
The pack includes fact sheets on which species can be spotted in the county, tips about how to attract wildlife, and a notebook so the children can record the creatures they have seen.
Also, if the youngsters send their spotting record into the council, they will receive a certificate featuring the wildlife watching character Spike the Spotter.
To get a free pack, email KCC at biodiversity@kent.gov.uk, or call 08458 247600.
