THE west tunnel of the Dartford Crossing is open again and congestion is clearing after a lorry crash earlier this afternoon.
Kent police were called to the crash in the west tunnel, which involved only the lorry, just before 2pm today.
The west tunnel was closed while emergency services removed the lorry, and this caused severe congestion.
However, a police spokesman says the tunnel is now open again and traffic has begun to move freely.
The driver of the lorry is believed to have suffered minor injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
