WORK to a tube line is likely to run on into next year.
The Jubilee Line, which serves North Greenwich and the O2, has been regularly closed since 2007 for upgrade work.
And now London Underground has admitted it is unlikely that work will be finished by the end of this year, announcing further line closures over 14 weekends and three days during Christmas.
London Underground says it has inherited an already delayed project from Tube Lines, the maintenance company it took over earlier this year.
Managing director Mike Brown said: “I would like to apologise to passengers, communities, and businesses who have suffered years of closures.
“We are doing everything possible to get the job done as soon as possible.”
