THE Londonbound carriageway of the A2 near Bluewater shopping centre has reopened following an earlier crash.
But traffic is still heavy in the area and tailbacks stretching to Cobham Services are expected to take some time to clear.
The collision between a red Skoda and a yellow lorry happened near the Bean exit at around 7.05am.
Kent police shut the road for around an hour while firefighters from Dartford and Thames-Side fire stations cut the car driver out of his vehicle.
The man, who is believed to be in his 40s, has been taken to Darent Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
Police are yet to release any details about the condition of the driver of the yellow lorry.
A spokesman from Thames-Side fire station says the lorry driver was thought to be Hungarian.
