Gravesend Asian Women’s Group members at the fun day
AN ASIAN women’s group held a fun day to bring together females of all ages and ethnic backgrounds.
Gravesend Asian Women’s Group held the community event at the Riverside Centre in Dickens Road on August 7, and more than 100 ladies and girls attended.
They shared food and chatted, and the group’s chairwoman, Sudershan Sehgal, says the aim of the day was to “bring Gravesend’s female community together to get to know each other better”.
The group has been running for almost nine years, has around 50 members, and meets every month at St Mark’s Church in London Road, Northfleet, to do activities including yoga.
