ELDERLY people are having a birthday party on Wednesday to celebrate 30 years of their sheltered housing scheme.
The residents of Fletchers Close, Bromley, have organised the event with funding from their housing association Moat.
Moat’s chief executive Brian Johnson and Bromley’s deputy mayor Councillor Ruth Bennett are among the guests and musician Maureen Morris will be providing the entertainment.
Mr Johnson said: “Fletchers Close is an older person’s scheme where Moat works in partnership with the residents to build a strong community spirit.
“I am looking forward to celebrating the last 30 years of the scheme with its residents and staff.”
