Everyone wants their hair to look salon-perfect every day, but very few can get that fabulous stylist-fresh blowdry at home. Jed Hamill from Graham Webb International tells you how to get it right every time.
Achieving the same finish as your stylist manages is easier than you think. The key is in the blowdrying and using the right products.
Towel-dry hair to get rid of any excess moisture – but remember to pat the hair rather than rub.
Before you begin the blowdrying scrunch mousse in to reduce static and build volume. We recommend Clynol Style fix lift strong mousse (£7.65 300ml) to our clients.
Always blowdry in sections, if you dive straight in your hair will hold a kink underneath and at the roots – clip sections of hair away to allow you to concentrate on one part at a time.
When hair is almost dry use the cool setting on the dryer and blow each hair section again to seal cuticles, create a glossy sheen and hold the finished style.
For the ultimate salon finish spray Look at Me Lustrous final shine spray (£9.20 100ml) from Clynol generously all over the hair.
Handy hint: If you don’t have a cool button make sure you allow your hair to cool before blasting it again, this will also help your blowdry to last longer.
