SWIMMING lessons at Crook log leisure centre in Bexleyheath have been disrupted after the teaching pool had to be closed.

Boxwood Leisure, the company running the Brampton Road centre for Bexley Council had been investigating why the pool was losing a large amount of water.

After draining it, a fault was found in in one of the pool’s pipes.

Repairs were due to start on Monday (9th) and the other pipes serving the pool are also being checked for any additional problems.

Boxwood says the teaching pool will remain closed until all the repairs are complete.

This has meant the centre’s swimming programme has had to be changed.

Updates on the progress of the work are available on noticeboards at the centre and at bexley.gov.uk and people are advised to call the centre on 020 8304 9090 for details of any changes to the swimming programme as a result of the closure.
