STAFF at a supermarket have taken part in a 46-mile walk from Brighton beach to raise cash for a soldiers’ charity.
The group from Waitrose in Main Road, Biggin Hill began their walk from the south coast at midnight and arrived back at the store by 3pm.
Four members of staff completed the entire 15-hour walk while others joined at intervals of 25, 10 and five miles.
So far around £1,600 has been raised for Help for Heroes however the walkers have set their sights on reaching a target of £2,000.
Branch manager David Patrickson said: “I’d like to congratulate all involved for their efforts.”
