We all have our lazy days. As women it is our right to occasionally not wash our hair, reach for the dry shampoo and look for an up-do that will work with the outfit of the day, especially if we’re feeling a bit time poor or even worse, having a bad hair day!
Never fear, Jed Hamill from Graham Webb International is here with a do for every occasion, to suit every wardrobe.
1) For a great day look, divide hair into low pigtails and then twist another band halfway down for that native American style.
2) For a simple evening look that is sexy without trying, tie long hair back into a low ponytail and clip in a flower for an elegant and exotic finish.
3) Sweep your hair back into a low ponytail and then twist round into a chignon. Secure with a few diamond-look clips to reflect the sun and spritz with Clynol Look at Me Delicious boosting hairspray (£10.40 300ml) to hold in place.
4) Plaits are girly but also sexy. Adapt them with loose pigtail plaits that leave half the ends free.
5) Go for natural waves – wash and plait hair then leave to dry – hey presto!
6) Try a half beehive. Simply take a parting from ear to ear and split into three sections, pull the two side sections together at the back and pin into place.
Now take the top section and instead of backcombing which can damage the hair, lift the section and sprinkle with Clynol Play with Me Powder Punch texture powder (£10.60 50ml) rubbing it into the hair to give volume and lift at the roots.
Smooth over the top to make it look neat and bring it to the back to meet the other two sections, pinning it into place.
The rest of the hair can be worn curly, in waves or straight depending on the look you want to go for.
7) Use accessories to glam up a simple ponytail – sweep back pulling the hair tight for an ultra sleek front and then use a beaded band.
8) Twists are fun and easy. Section the front hair into eight sections, twist each one onto itself, secure with grips. Either leave the back loos or tie up into a high ponytail.
9) Plaits are big this summer. Plait random sections of your hair in varying thicknesses, keep the rest natural looking.
10) A sensual look is the topknot. Sweep hair backwards into a ponytail and wrap it around itself, securing at the base with grips.
Don’t worry about it being too messy – dishevelled looks are more effective.
