LESS than half of a borough’s primary schools took part in national tests this year.
The National Union of Teachers called for a boycott of the Sats exams in May, claiming the tests for 11-year-olds were discredited and league tables are unfair.
It means the government released results leave parents unable to judge the standard of education where they live compared to other boroughs.
In Greenwich, only 30 out of 65 schools took part while Lewisham saw the exams boycotted by 24 of its 69 primaries.
Of those who did take part, 80 per cent of Greenwich pupils achieved their expected level in English and 81 achieved it in maths.
In Lewisham, the figures were 81 per cent for English and 83 per cent for maths.
