A DUMPED car was set alight in a country lane in Luddesdown last night (August 4).
The flames completely destroyed the Renault which had been abandoned in Cutter Ridge Road.
Firefighters were called at around 10.40pm and spent around an hour dealing with the incident.
This was mainly said to be due to problems getting water to the scene because the remote location meant they had to roll out a lot of hosereel.
But it only took them about 10 minutes to extinguish the flames.
